Melt Flow Indexer TT-MFI is a high precise melt testing instrument for the measurement of the thermoplastic melt flow rate (MFR) in quality control and research applications. It is suitable to measure melt flow character of PP,PE, POM, AR, PC, ABS plastics and plastic productions, widely used in Plastic raw material production, petrochemical industry, Scientific Research Departments and Commodity inspection department.

Working Principle:

The instrument is applied to test material molten status by high temperature furnace in a predetermined temperature condition. The molten status of analyte is extruded through a certain diameter orifice under a predetermined weight load. The “Melt (mass) flow rate” is often used to express the viscosity, fluidity and other physical properties of the polymer material in the molten state in the study of industrial enterprises and research institution. The melt index refers to the average weight of the extrudate paragraphs sample translate to extrusion amount in 10 minutes.

Applications:

To test the melt flow rate (MFR, unit: g/10min) of thermoplastic material in high temperature, such as polyethylene, polystyrene, polypropylene, ABS resin, acetal resin, polycarbonate, nylon, and fluoro-plastic etc. It is widely used in industries of plastic material, plastic products, petroleum, chemicals, research institute, inspection agency and so son.
